Millets are classified into subtypes such as minor and major millets. Pearl Millet, Finger Millet and Jowar falls into ‘Major Millet’ category, whereas – Foxtail, Proso, Kodo, Barnyard, Little, Brown Top falls into ‘Minor Millet’ Category.
